« 2 QUESTIONS À.. » : KEVIN WINDHAM ET ELI TOMAC
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : Kevin, le niveau est vraiment très élevé cette année, regrettes-tu d’être allé rouler des Supercross un peu partout sur la planète pendant que tes collègues et futurs concurrents étaient en repos aux États-Unis..?
KEVIN WINDHAM : Non j’ai pensé que c’était une bonne opportunité de rouler et essayer différentes pièces que nous aurions dû tester de toute façon.. J’utilise toujours pas mal de ce type de courses afin de tester les pièces de toute façon, et non je n’ai pas de regrets je suis heureux des choix que j’ai fait d’aller rouler à l’extérieur des États-Unis..
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : The level is really high this year, do you regret to have been rode some international supercross when your rivals was « off » in the USA..?
KEVIN WINDHAM : « No I thought it was a good opportunity to race and try out some bike parts that we had needed to test anyway. I used a lot of those races to test parts we needed testing anyway, but no I do not regret it, I am happy with my choice to race overseas. »
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : Quelle va-t-être ta stratégie pour les prochains rounds, conserver ton rythme et ta vitesse et attendre des erreurs de tes concurrents..?
KEVIN WINDHAM : Hé bien je pense qu’on roule tellement vite en ce moment spécialement les 2 premiers du Top, Villopoto et Stewart, il s’entraînent si fort ensemble avec la vitesse qu’ils appliquent qu’ils ont chuté lors de chaque round.. C’est très dur de rester sur ses roues lorsque tu roules au niveau auquel ils sont que tu ne peux pas simplement rester derrière en attendant que l’un d’eux chute.. Chaque année l’un de nous élève la barre un peu plus haut, on est donc arrivé à un niveau très très élevé aujourd’hui, beaucoup de compétition sur le terrain mais tu ne restes jamais là en te disant que le niveau auquel tu es est suffisant, tu dois continuer d’essayer de devenir meilleur..
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : What will be your strategy for the next rounds, stay on the speed and take your chance when some of your rivals will make some mistakes..?
KEVIN WINDHAM : « Well I think that we’re going so fast right now, especially the top two, Villopoto and Stewart and they’re pushing themselves so hard that they’ve fallen at each race. It’s kind of hard to keep it on two wheels when you’re pushing as hard as they are but being said you can’t just sit back and wait for them to crash. Somebody raises the bar every year so it’s definitely high right now, a lot of competition on the track but you never just sit back and wait think that where you’re at is good enough, you have to keep trying to get better. »
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : Eli, cela a pris 3 rounds afin que tu trouves ton rythme, est-ce qu’on te verra sur la première marche du podium ce week-end..?
ELI TOMAC : Tant que je peux prendre un bon départ et rouler comme je l’ai fait le week-end dernier, terminer sur le podium devrait être envisageable.. Je suis beaucoup plus confiant dans mes départs, c’était la chose la plus importante pour moi et je sais que maintenant je peux bien partir, c’est pourquoi une victoire devrait être possible bientôt..
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : You took 3 rounds to find your rhythm, will we see you on the first place on the podium at the next race..?
ELI TOMAC : « As long as I can get a start and ride at least like I did last week, getting on the podium should be in the cards. I have a lot more confidence in my starts, that was the biggest thing for me but now I know I can get a good start so a win should be coming my way soon I hope. »
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : Tu es très bon sur une course en Motocross, le Supercross est définitivement une discipline différente, penses-tu que tu es bon dans ces 2 catégories..?
ELI TOMAC : Je suis plus un Pilote fluide et calculateur donc je pense être capable de bien rouler en Motocross et Supercross.. Je pense que mon style fonctionne pour les 2 disciplines, un Pilote fluide et calme peut s’adapter à l’une ou l’autre..
PRE111IERMOTOCROSS : You are very good on a Motocross race, Supercross is definitely a different discipline, do you think that you are good in both..?
ELI TOMAC : « I’m more of a smooth and calculated rider so I think that comes into play in both Supercross and Motocross. I just think my style works for both, a smooth and calm rider can acclimate themselves to either one. »
